How to check WiFi signal strength

There’s a little-known way to check your PC’s Wi-Fi signal strength using a simple command in Command Prompt.Press the Windows key, type cmd, then press Enter to open Command Prompt. Now type the following into it: netsh wlan show interface, thenpress Enter. You’ll see information, including your Wi-Fi network’s name, SSID ,radio type and connection mode.Look for the Signal field (see screenshot below). You’ll see a percentage indicating the current strength of your signal.

If you often work on a laptop you can
use this method to determine which areas of your home offer the best Wi-Fi coverage. You can then position yourself in those areas when carrying out tasks that require a consistently strong Wi-Fi connection, such as making videocalls or streaming videos or fillms.
